Help Farah’s Family and Children Escape Genocide
United States
My name is Farah Al-Khudari, and I am from Northern Gaza. I started this campaign to raise awareness and support 11 of my family members. The recent hostilities have left our lives broken beyond repair.
We have lost our home, where we built our dreams. It was not only a place to stay, but filled with beautiful and happy memories. Our family had a clothing store that was destroyed and reduced to rubble. It was a heart-wrenching experience to lose something that we have worked so hard to build.
Despite all this loss, my primary concern remains the safety and well-being of my parents, my sisters, and their children. My father suffers from skin cancer and requires treatment, the conditions he is living in are unsuitable and negatively impact his health. I am doing what I can to protect and support my family, they are my beacon of hope in these dark times and a reminder of why we must endure and rebuild.
Our family has been displaced several times from the north to southern Gaza, as the occupation has ordered us to leave. We fled our hometown and we currently live in a small tent, sleeping on the sand. How can anyone stand to live in these conditions for over a year? Along with this, we suffer from a lack of food and expensive prices when we are able to find goods. There is a shortage of healthy drinking water, which caused us severe stomach pains and this is especially dangerous for my sick father and my young nephews.
We do not have access to a proper bathroom or shower – we are only able to shower once a month with a bucket. Any food that we have is difficult to find and has to be cooked on firewood, this is completely unhealthy and unacceptable for anyone.
Amidst the ruins of what we had, our home, our store, I am reminded of the strength and determination that has carried us through the darkest of times. There is a long road ahead, but with your support, we can rebuild our lives and reclaim our dignity. Thank you for standing with us and supporting my family in our time of need.
Thank you all for your kindness and generosity towards Farah and her family always. Please continue to pay attention and speak about what is happening in Gaza as there is a manmade famine.
I briefly spoke to Farah today, she mentioned that her family has some flour. Farah and her family still need our continuous support to be able to afford flour and food they can find as well as medicine. Every action you take, whether it’s donating, sharing this campaign with others, talking about Gaza, matters.
As of July 28th, donations are being matched up to $100 by an anonymous donor. Please use this opportunity to have your support matched! This will help us send more funds to Farah in the next transfer. Please keep dear Farah and her family in your prayers.
With love and gratitude,
Farah and Sabrin
Dear friends,
Thank you all for your support and kindness for Farah and her family. They are in need of our consistent support to help purchase food and basic necessities. Yesterday, Farah told me that her family is having a hard time finding and buying food. We are trying to collect enough for her family to buy a bag of flour, which is $800.
We are asking for your help with this, please contribute if you can or even help share Farah’s campaign within your circles. This beautiful family of 11 is counting on us, please continue to help in anyway you can.
Much love, Farah and Sabrin
Hi everyone,
First, I want to thank you all for your continuous support to my family and I. We are incredibly grateful for your generosity and kindness through everything. We started this Chuffed campaign since GFM closed our first campaign and we have lost all the funds previously collected.
After the ceasefire in January, we went back to the north to see our home. Our home, along with our clothing store that supported my family, has been completely destroyed.
It’s been more than a month since the ceasefire and the holy month of Ramadan has started. This is supposed to be a time to focus on worship, praying, and enjoying breaking our fasts with our families. The occupation has recently stopped all aid from entering Gaza, making our circumstances extremely difficult during Ramadan. This is especially hard for my younger family members and my father, as he has skin cancer.
I am sharing this with you all to let you know that your support makes a difference for my family, we hope that you continue to stay with us and listen and share our stories.
With love, Farah
